A conservatory is a glazed single storey extension constructed on either a dwarf wall or with full height glazing, topped with a glass or polycarbonate roof. The work includes the base and groundworks, dwarf wall brickwork, frames and glazing, the roof structure, and connecting it back to your house, available in styles such as Victorian, Edwardian and lean to. Doors and electrics are fitted as needed.
Conservatories typically fall within permitted development rights, making them exempt from planning permission providing they are positioned at the rear of the house, measure under four metres in height, remain narrower than your home’s width and extend less than 6 metres out (8 metres for detached properties).
